Shan Mai Taros Cultural Tourism Factory |

 Shan Mai Food is entirely prepared in the central factory, in order to ensure the taste, freshness and hygiene of the fillings. The taros cultural tourism factory welcomes visits by groups and outdoor education; and to witness behind the scene production process of how Dajia's specialty product taros, is transformed into the purple rose legend, while taros cake DIY is available to visitors as well. One can also visit the Dajia Zhen Lan Temple and pray to Mazu for blessings, then visit the unique Anvil Taros Nurturing Restaurant, where one can taste the taros gourmet meals, and experience the cultural glamour of Dajia.
Walking about in the tourism factory, and observing the hygienic production environment through the glass in the corridor, has subverted people's conventional imagery of pastries. By creating the Pastry Cultural Museum, Chef A Cong has also endowed rich content to Dajia’s tourism industry. The time tunnel on the second floor is decorated with antique wares that were used since the opening of the store; the old billboards on the wall, the rusty pastry molds in the glass cabinet. Come here to listen to Chef A Cong's old tales while he carries a wedding cake box on his shoulder.

The "Shan Mai Taros Cultural Tourism Factory" consists of 8 themes, including the taros
ecological tour, history of Dajia taros industry, taros shortcake DIY, story of the pastry
industry, the 1970s He Wei Xiang old store butter shortcakes, Taiwan wedding customs,
purple rose legend: Shan Mei Taros Cake and Special Product Exhibition: taste the freshly
made and baked state banquet dessert "Shan Mai Taros Cake". This is a stunning
contemporary pastry history of Taiwan, one can also enjoy a rich, cultural and folklore trip
to the Dajia region.
